Cookie banners or notices are displayed on a user’s first visit to a website to obtain their permission before placing any cookies on their devices. For cookie consent to be GDPR compliant, the consent has to be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the user’s wishes given through a clear affirmative action.
