Add the mandatory EU withdrawal button so customers cancel orders online in one click — compliant with Directive 2023/2673 (in force 19 June 2026), with full audit trail and automatic acknowledgment emails on a durable medium
From 19 June 2026, Directive (EU) 2023/2673 requires every online shop selling in the EU to offer a clear, easy-to-use withdrawal function: cancelling a purchase must be as simple as making it. Hiding the process behind a PDF, a contact form or a phone number is no longer enough — and non-compliance can be penalised with fines of up to 4% of annual turnover.
EU Withdrawal Button adds that function to your PrestaShop store. Both registered customers and guests (not registered) can exercise their right of withdrawal directly online — from their customer account, the order detail page, the order-tracking page and a permanent footer link — through a clearly labelled option that stays available throughout the legal withdrawal period. As soon as a request is submitted, the customer receives an automatic acknowledgment on a durable medium (email plus a downloadable PDF), exactly as the directive requires.
On the merchant side, you get a complete back office to manage every request: approve, reject, track returned goods and refunds, with SLA timers, a full audit trail and a clear status timeline for each case. Withdrawal periods, product and category exemptions
(for the cases excluded under Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU), carrier and order-state filters are all configurable, so the module fits your real returns policy.
Designed around Article 11a, introduced by Directive (EU) 2023/2673 into the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, and built for the whole EU market: multi-language and multistore-ready.
The module also provides ready-to-use pre-contractual withdrawal text you can add to your terms and conditions, so the online function and the legal information work together.
